Mybloglog Will Be Closed

Bad news comes from Yahoo, because according to some sources, yahoo will close one of their sites. Mybloglog, social bookmarking sites that could shine in 2008, should be closed because of declining traffic. Yahoo reportedly will close mybloglog January 2010, not sure exactly yahoo will close this site.

Actually, since yahoo bought mybloglog in 2007, this site shows a very good traffic. But unfortunately, because unable to compete, this site has a lot of decline in terms of member and traffic. At that time, yahoo must pay a $10 million to buy mybloglog from Cloudspace.

Here is a statement from yahoo about mybloglog :

"Yesterday, rumors surfaced around Yahoo!’s imminent shutdown of its MyBlogLog service. Frankly, it’s no secret within Yahoo! that we’re actively discussing the future of MyBlogLog.

However, it’s also true that we have not made any final decisions at this point. Is a shutdown on the table? Sure, that’s an option. But there are other options as well. We know this creates some uncertainty for current MyBlogLog users. While we aren't quite ready to share more details, we promise to keep you posted."

 

Eric Marcoulier (developer mybloglog) said : "this site was so long neglected so far behind from facebook, twitter and other social networking sites. Thus, the only way is to close this site". Very in pity, because I really like mybloglog, because it looks simple and easy application.

Hopefully yahoo cancel his intention, and mybloglog will continue flying with the increasing traffic. We'll wait!
